On December 7th, the trial production of 1219mm diameter, 22mm wall thickness, and X80M steel grade straight seam submerged arc welded steel pipes on the company's new energy pipe manufacturing production line successfully passed the evaluation and appraisal of the National Pipeline Network Group. The expert group unanimously agreed that the straight seam submerged arc welded steel pipes produced by the production line meet the requirements of various standards and have the capacity for mass production of straight seam submerged arc welded steel pipes.
The product review and appraisal work for this project was organized and implemented by the China Iron and Steel Industry Association, commissioned by the Construction Project Management Branch of the National Pipeline Group. Experts from the General Research Institute of Iron and Steel, China Petroleum Engineering Materials Research Institute, China Petroleum Bohai Petroleum Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., China National Petroleum and Natural Gas Pipe Engineering Technology Research Center Co., Ltd., China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau Engineering Co., Ltd., Beijing University of Science and Technology, China Steel Structure Association and other units conducted on-site inspections. After listening to reports and reviewing relevant appraisal materials, it was unanimously agreed that the new energy pipe manufacturing production line built by Baoshi Shun Company has advanced equipment and reasonable processes. Through the trial production verification of 1219mm diameter, 22mm wall thickness, and steel grade X80M straight seam submerged arc welded steel pipes, the production line has the mass production capacity of straight seam submerged arc welded steel pipes.
The trial production of this production line product was based on the "Sichuan Chongqing Hubei section of the natural gas pipeline project for the second line of Sichuan East Gas Transmission (Weiyuan/Luxian Tongliang)", and single furnace and thousand ton level trial production were carried out. The trial production applied advanced technology in multiple process control of the production line, designed manufacturing process parameters that matched it, effectively solved key technical problems, and the trial production process was smooth with good quality control. The product testing results were all qualified, and the steel management performance and adaptability of the welding process have passed third-party evaluation.
After the evaluation meeting of the results of the D1219 × 22mm X80M straight seam submerged arc welded steel pipe manufacturing production line for new energy pipes, Baoshi Shun Company will start producing 18 meter long straight seam submerged arc welded steel pipes and put them into use in major oil and gas transmission pipeline projects such as the China Russia Far East and Sichuan Second Line.
